(74) of Johnstown passed away October 9, 2018 at Conemaugh Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born November 6, 1943 son of the late John and Veronica (Zubal) Kesselak. Survived by his devoted and beloved wife of 51 years Elizabeth (Telesko) and daughters Lori married to Brian Eichelberger and Sonya married to Brian Prebola, his granddaughter Erin Eichelberger, brother Richard all of Johnstown and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John was employed as a chainman/laborer at Bethlehem Steel Corporation. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, granddaughter and family. He also enjoyed his 4 legged friends Princess, PJ, Puffy, Beauty and Snoopy.

John was an avid collector of autographs of many famous people including movie stars and presidents. When you mention a celebrity he would say, “I remember the time I met them. “ John was a fan of baseball and attended (Art Gaines) baseball Camp in St. Louis Missouri.

He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates as well as attending many games. John also enjoyed traveling and went on numerous trips to Nashville and Memphis Tennessee, Orlando, Florida and even attended the world’s fair in New York City. He was a member of Christ the Savior Cathedral, where he was a dedicated Orthodox Christian and a member of the church choir.

John was an amazing husband, father, pappy, son and brother. He left his family with many, wonderful and happy memories that they will carry and cherish with them forever. We love you!

Thank you for being the best father your daughters could ask for. You will be missed dearly. Family and Friends will be received from 2pm to 8pm on Friday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home where the Panachida service will be held at 6pm Friday.

There will be a brief service at 9:30am on Saturday at the Funeral Home followed by Funeral Service at 10am at Christ the Savior Cathedral, the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert A. Buczak. Committal Grandview Cemetery.
