Zimmerman – Charles H., 87, Red Lion, PA, formerly of Westmont (Johnstown, PA) finished his work on earth on September 30, 2018. Born on July 10, 1931 in Johnstown, son of Charles E. and Ruth A. (Palliser) Zimmerman. Preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, sons Thomas, Charles and Kenneth.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Nancy J. (Gibbs) Zimmerman, Red Lion, PA; children, Jane Harrison and husband Harry, Nancy Harrison and husband Rodney, and Lynn Snell and husband Mark, all of York, PA; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and other extended family members. Charles was a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School 1949; Penn State University 1971, and Wesley Theological Seminary 1974. He was employed at the Johnstown Tribune Democrat in the Advertising Department for 17 years; United Methodist Clergy for 30 years and continued in ministry throughout his lifetime.

Charles was active in sports, education and charitable organizations. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with his daughter, Rev. Jane Harrison officiating.

Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be given to Westmont Hilltop Football, c/o Westmont Hilltop High School, 200 Fair Oaks Dr., Johnstown, PA 15905, in memory of Charles. Online condolences may be posted to www.
