Cummings – Janet Lois, 77, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2018, at her home under the care of her children and Windber Hospice. Born February 15, 1941, in South Fork, daughter of John and Helen (Anderko) Stohon. Preceded in death by parents and husband Robert J. “Coo” Cummings.

Survived by loving children, Sherry and Robyn of Johnstown, and Scott R., married to former Danielle (Beghtel), Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Tayler, Dallas, and Danielle Rae Cummings, Joshua, Nathaniel (Valentina), Juliandra, Wesley, and Jonathan Durkin. Sister of Gerri (Jim) Malzi, Bon Air; John (Naomi), New Germany; Chris (Bobbe), South Fork; Barbara (Jim) Turner, Maryland. Janet was a hair dresser and previous co-owner of Cummings Trophies & Engraving with husband Robert.

Class President, Prom Queen and graduate of South Fork-Croyle High School, Class of 1959. A member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Johnstown. She will be remembered for her humor, creative talents, and caring spirit.

Janet was a self-sacrificing and dedicated mother and grandmother. At Janet’s request, there will be no public viewing. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of Celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Emmanuel Baptist, with the Rev.

Kirk Rowland officiating. Janet will join her husband at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of the family. The family suggests contributions be directed to Laurel Highlands Alzheimer’s Foundation, 317 Power St, Johnstown, PA 15906 in memory of Janet.
