Dorothy Mae Thomas Beabes, 104, Johnstown, passed away November 24, 2018. She was born July 11, 1914, in Johnstown, daughter of Gertrude Seigh and Evan J Thomas. She was preceded in death by parents, husband Donald C. Beabes, in 1987; brothers, Albert E Thomas, Dr. Kenneth J Thomas; sister Ruth Shonek; and an infant brother, Elmer E Thomas.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna (Rodney Gerber), Morgantown, WV; and grandsons, Gregory Donald, Michael Adam and Bradley Evan Gerber (Emily Cotter) of Morgantown, and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy retired from Replogle’s Moving and Storage Company. She is a graduate of Johnstown High School, class of 1932 ½.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Women’s Association and the Genevan’s Sunday School class. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Oriental Commandery, #61 Knights Templar. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.

, Johnstown, where services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Rev. Alice Tondora officiating, with interment following at Grandview Cemetery.
