HAGERICH—Rodney Dale, 78, of Vinco, PA, passed away gracefully from our hearts into God’s hands peacefully on November 22, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 8, 1940 in Vinco to the late Ralph and Ethel Hagerich. He is survived by wife of 53 years, Barbara Ann Lamer Hagerich, son, Todd Hagerich and wife, Kim Hagerich and 2 granddaughters in Doylestown, PA, daughter, Tracey Brocious and husband, Jeff Brocious, and 3 grandsons in Marriottsville, MD.

Brothers, Paul Hagerich, David Hagerich and wife Janet of Vinco, Larry Hagerich and wife, Sherry of Cresson. Sisters, Marge Gillespie of Vinco, Sara Jane Leckey of Vinco, Wanda Ellis and her husband, John Ellis of Spring City, PA. Preceded in death by brothers Robert and Glenn and sisters, Helen, Faye and Mary Lou.

Rodney graduated from Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg, PA. He served in the U.S. Army as an MP (Military Police) – SP4. He worked as a truck driver and a coal miner at various companies including: Inland Products, Bethlehem Mines Corporation, Pennsylvania Mines Corporation, and PJAX.

He was an active member of the Vinco Brethren Church since childhood and served as both a deacon and trustee. He loved working around his house and watching sports, particularly football and golf. He was a caring person with big heart.

He had a great sense of humor and was such a hometown boy that he never cared if he left Vinco. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and again from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral service at 3 p.m. Monday at Vinco Brethren Church, 123 Adams Ave. , Mineral Point, with the Pastor Zac Yonko officiating.

Military graveside rites by Menoher VFW Post #155. Private interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Vinco Brethren Church or Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave.
