John Leone Leto Jr. December 04, 1988 – January 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card John Leone Leto Jr was born on December 4th, 1988 in Baltimore Maryland to John Leone Leto Sr and Denise Farr Peay. It is believed that John went to be with the Lord while living in Valdosta Georgia. In 2000 John, his mother and sister Juanita relocated to Concord, North Carolina where he attended Concord High School and graduated with the class of 2006.
After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 2007 to 2012. While in the Navy he attended OS class A school and became a certified Operation Specialist stationed on the USS Rentz in San Diego, California. After being discharged he stayed in San Diego.
There he worked various jobs and attended the community college. He became a certified Massage Therapist. In 2013 he attended Miramar College in San Diego and took some private pilot classes.
John was always taking a class or two and studying. In 2015 he moved to Valdosta, GA where he attend Air Traffic Control School and received his Certification. Music was a major part of John’s life.
He attended several music schools at a young age in Baltimore Maryland, and learned to play the piano. He continued playing the piano throughout the rest of his life, along with several other musical instruments. John played on the school basketball team in his sophomore and junior year.
He also was apart of the wind ensemble group in marching band. He played the trumpet, tuba, and the trombone. He also taught himself how to the play the violin.
He wrote a musical piece for the marching band in his junior year of high school. John was often creating instrumentals, writing music, poetry or doing something creative in his spare time. He was a true Artist.
Along with playing various musical instruments, he also was very skilled at sketching, drawing, and painting. John could draw anything that came to his imagination. He has drawn portraits of many people and even started airbrushing T-shirts for extra money in high school.
John confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his saviour in 2005 and was baptized at Redeeming Word Ministries in Charlotte North Carolina where he attended and played the piano for the Church. He was loving, giving, creative, and funny. He had a heart for the elderly, getting to know them and their experience of life.
He was deeply loved and will be missed by many for his personality, and for his outstanding creativity. John leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother Denise Farr-Peay, father John Leone Leto Sr stepmother Belinda Leto of Baltimore Maryland, a brother Donta Wardell and his wife Arinn of Hilton Head South Carolina, two sisters Sierra Leto of Baltimore Maryland and Juanita E. Jacobs and her husband Zachary of Kannapolis North Carolina, two nieces Bethany and Volina Wardell, one nephew Jaddai Jacobs, grandfather Johnny James Farr of Baltimore Maryland and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
