He was born on December 30, 1947, to the late Joseph and Lucille (Clements) Harris in Harris, MI. He served his country in the Marines.

John is survived by his longtime companion, Sharon Schmidt; sister, Rosemary Oberthur; brother, Bill (Helen) Harris; and many nieces and nephews. As per John’s request, no visitation or service will be held. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
