Obituary for John Wallace Roberts KINGSPORT- John Wallace Roberts, age 90, of Kingsport, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church and spent many hours assisting his wife in missionary service with the Yaqui Indians of Tucson, AZ. He also spent time helping feed the homeless of the Lynn Garden area.

He enjoyed sitting on his porch and watching the birds and squirrels play. He was preceded in death by his Wife- Mildred E. Roberts, Parents- Jesse & Nannie Pearl Roberts and several Brothers and Sisters. He is survived by Daughters- Karen (Carl, Jr.) Edens, Susan (Paul) Mullins, Valerie (Doug) Cassell, & Joy (Greg) Simpson, Son- Dan (Lori) Roberts, Sisters- Nealy Hagy, & Jessie (Bobby) DeZarn, 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, many Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December, 30, 2018 from 5-7pm at Tri-Cities Funeral Home with service to follow at 7pm with Preacher Carl “Chuck” Edens and Reverend James Hagy officiating. Graveside services will be Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11am in Church Hill Memory Gardens. Tri-Cities Funeral Home & Church Hill Memory Gardens are honored to serve the Roberts Family.
