John Wayne Gibson, 75 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday January 6, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 13, 1943 in Greenville, IN to John E. and Verda Dilley Gibson. He was a former employee of Kentucky Wood Flooring and a member of the Charlestown Independent Church.

John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William Gibson, David Gibson and Jim Gibson. Survivors include his wife the former Joyce Gullion; son, Michael Wayne Gibson of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Joshua Gibson of Charlestown and Emanda Gibson of Jeffersonville, IN; brothers, Lawrence “Danny” Gibson of Jeffersonville and Mike Gibson of Charlestown; and sister, Verdeen Gibson, of Charlestown. Cremation was chosen by the family and no services are scheduled at this time.
