John Wesley Daubert, 70 of Chillicothe passed from this life on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Jack and Jean (Stangle) Daubert. Surviving are his step-mother, Janet Daubert, Columbus; his daughter, Melissa Jean (Chad) Porter, Cumming, GA; his son, John C. (Jill) Daubert, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Jacqulyn Daubert, Jacob Porter, Mackenzie Porter and Tenley Porter; a brother, Terry Daubert, Hilliard, OH and a close friend, Terry Butterbaugh, Chillicothe.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Sherry. John was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. He retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant with more than 27 years of service.

Following his service to our country, he worked as an insurance agent. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in John’s memory to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 (www. dav.org).
