Johnathan Randall Clegg, 28, of 2383 Greenwood Highway, McCormick, husband of Samantha Ellen Clegg, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Palmetto Health Richland. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Randy Clegg and Kimberly Laswell Gilman. He was employed with CSX and a member of Narrow Way Baptist Church.

Johnathan always lived every day to the fullest. He was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors, racing, and his Clemson Tigers. Surviving are his wife, Samantha, and son, Landrey Braxton Clegg of the home; his father, Randy of Plum Branch; his mother, Kimberly and stepfather, Jackie of Blountville, TN; sister, Tabatha Singletary (William), of Plum Branch; brothers, Shawn Gilman and Hunter Clegg of Blountville, TN; paternal grandparents, Granny Bonnie & PawPaw Mook Clegg of Parksville, SC; and maternal grandmother, Granny Laswell of Greenwood.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Plum Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. John Noblin and Rev. Brian Cannon officiating.

Burial will follow at Plum Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Clegg, Donnie Clegg, Kevin Ashley, Gerald Paysinger, Keith Wright, and Todd Ramsey. Honorary escort will be his co-workers of CSX.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to the Landrey Braxton Clegg Benefit Account c/o Countybank, PO 3129, Greenwood, SC 29648 or at any branch location. The family is at the home.
