Johnie Thomas Tumlin, 66 of Marietta passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta with Monsignor Patrick Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Gardens in Duluth.

Mr. Tumlin is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Terry Ann Tumlin; son, Bryan Tumlin; daughter, Melisa Brewer and husband, David; son, Michael Tumlin; stepson, Aaron Cox and wife, Jill Blass; grandchildren, Christopher Hanrahan, Joshua Tumlin, Savanna Welch and Madison Tumlin; great-grandson, Matthew Hanrahan and step-great-granddaughter, Margot Cox. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Morgan Tumlin. Mr. Tumlin worked 48 years for Ryerson which was originally J M Tull.

He was Assistant Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America and an Advisor in the Order of the Arrow. He was a longtime member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, a passionate UGA Fan and he loved to go fishing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel.
