OBITUARY Johnnie Faye Aden December 2, 1928 – September 16, 2018 Johnnie Faye Cowart Aden died peacefully at home on Sunday, the 16th of September 2018, at the age of 89. She was born on the 2nd of December 1928 in Kirbyville, Texas, to John and Sallie Cowart. She worked for Southwestern Bell for many years and later became a homemaker.

Johnnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. With her endless generosity and love of life, she made friends wherever she went. She especially loved her home, and her door was always open to friends and neighbors.

But the true loves of her life were her three sons, and her presence in their lives and families will be greatly missed. Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Aden; her sister, Louise Aden; brother, Pete Cowart; and sister, Gladys Miller. She is survived by her sons, Kirk Aden and wife Mary Ann, Mark Aden and Scott Aden; her grandchildren, Brandon Wright and wife Michaelyn, and Sarah Powell and husband Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to Vilma for her dedicated and loving care of their mother. A memorial service is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 20th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at a venue to be announced during the services. In lieu of customary remembrances, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to The American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice.
