She married her loving husband, Donald Tatera, in the summer of 1971 and would soon be celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary.

Johnnie was known to everyone for her feisty nature and giving soul. She worked as a hair dresser for most of her adult life, enjoying the time spent with friends and colleagues in her profession. Her most cherished role, however, was that of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She loved to be outdoors, fishing or enjoying nature at her home with friends and family. It was often she was found on her sun-porch on a sunny day, listening to music and dancing with a beaming smile on her face. Johnnie will be remembered for the love she has shared with so many.
