Obituary for Jeffrey Allen Schmiedl Graveside services with military honors for SSG Jeffrey Allen Schmiedl, age 55, of Jacksonville, will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 2:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM till 1:15 PM at Miller Funeral Home. SSG Jeffrey Allen Schmiedl passed away on Sunday at UAB Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Tracie Schmiedl, daughter, Julie Smith (Philip), son, SGT Alan Schmiedl (Sarah), mother, Karen Schmiedl, grandchildren, Emma Smith, Anna Smith, Makayla Schmiedl, Ali Grace Schmiedl, Lillian Schmiedl, sister, Linda Rozzi (Joe), brother, Michael Schmiedl, nieces; Isabella Rozzi, and Sophia Rozzi. Pallbearers will be Dennis Waites, Steve Guede, Steve Shahan and Philip Smith. SSG Jeffrey Allen Schmiedl was originally from Ohio and served his county in the US Army with two overseas tours.

SSG Jeffrey Allen Schmiedl was employed with Honey Well for the past 22 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Schmiedl, and a sister, Amy Schmiedl. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Staff and Physicians at RMC especially the Imaging Services Deprtment.
