Obituary for Jon A. Dieman Jon Arthur Dieman was born on June 12, 1941 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He is the third child of Dr. Roy Arthur Dieman and Lisopal (Duncan) Dieman. Okmulgee was his home for his first 32 years and Muskogee was his home during the later years of his life.

He received his Savior Jesus Christ as a youth in the First Presbyterian Church in Okmulgee. He often sang in the choir and was in faithful attendance in the Presbyterian Church or the Baptist Church. Jon greatly enjoyed motorcycles and antique cars.

Working on them, riding and driving them was very satisfying to him. Jon served his country during the Cold War from 1962 to 1966 in the enlisted ranks of the United States Air Force. He was chosen for the Strategic Air Command.

S.A.C. was the Nation’s Nuclear Weapons Force commanded by General Curtiss LeMay. Jon was trained as an electronics technician and worked on the guidance system of the Atlas Intercontinental Ballistic Guided Missile and the Launch Control and System Checkout Computers of the Titan II ICBM’s. He earned an honorable discharge and benefited from the education and health services of the Veteran’s Administration.

Jon attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, during the 1960’s, earning an Associate of Science and also a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. He was listed on the President’s Honor Roll and many times on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Jon Arthur Dieman died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Claremore, Oklahoma at the Claremore Veteran’s Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister, Janis Reid. He is survived by his only brother, Wendell Dieman and wife Delores and several nieces and nephews. Family conducted interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery with family in attendance.
