Joseph J. DeRaymond May 19, 1935 – May 14, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Joseph J. DeRaymond, 83, of Lansdale, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Grillo) DeRaymond. Born May 19, 1935 in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late George and Angelina (Liberti) DeRaymond.

Joe was a longtime educator in the North Penn School District, working there his entire career. He was also a dedicated parishioner of Corpus Christi Church, Lansdale. Joe loved to travel and spend time in Ocean City, MD, with his wife Ellie, his grandson TJ, family, and friends.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Gina D. Cassel (Eric) of Harleysville, and Lisa DeRaymond (William Ferguson) of West Chester; three grandsons, Timothy Joseph Cassel, Matthew and Bradley Ferguson; two siblings, Russell DeRaymond (Anne) of Easton, and Phyllis Nagurney (Alex) of Easton; and a close family friend, Elvira Seher. Joseph was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond DeRaymond and his wife, Jamel. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Friday, May 17, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Norristown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joseph’s memory to Dock Woods Living Branches Foundation, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, PA 19446 or to Joseph J. DeRaymond Penndale Pride, c/o North Penn School District, 401 East Hancock Street, Lansdale, PA 19446-3960, and which would be deeply appreciated by his family.
