Joseph Branch, age 96, of Wannisett Ave. , Riverside, died July 26, 2018 at the RI Veterans’ Home in Bristol. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy R. (Whalon) Branch.

They were married for 72 years. He was born on April 14, 1922, in Warren, RI, a son of the late Frank and Rose (Tavares) Branch. He worked as a truck driver for School House Candy for many years.

Joseph proudly served our country with the US Army during WWII. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Joseph Branch, Jr of Cranston, George Branch of East Providence, Judith Burke of N. Providence, Bertha Thomas of S.C., 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Joseph was the brother of Dorothy Frechette of Johnston.

Joseph was predeceased by his son, Warren Branch. Joseph was the brother of the late; Evangelina Soares, Rose Pimental, Bertha Armillotto and Linda Branch. Funeral and burial will be Private.
