Joyce A. Nelson, 75, of Walton, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport. Born on April 23, 1943 in Cass County, she was the daughter to the late Herbert and Opal (Cunningham) Deniston. On September 16, 1962 in Walton, she married Dean Nelson who survives.

Surviving along with her husband are two daughters, Beth (Rick) Collins of Galveston, IN, Becky (Kenny) Collins of Logansport, IN; three granddaughters, Leslie Achor of Logansport, IN, Jessica (Chris) Bandelier of Logansport, IN; Katelyn Wise of Galveston, IN; one grandson, Jeremy Wise of Kokomo, IN; two great-granddaughters, Abbi Bandelier, Alli Bandelier; Six Step Grandchildren, Ricky (Amber) Collins, Craig (Jennifer) Collins, Rachel Hunter, Rebecca (Jeremy) King, Chad (Andrea) Collins and Tammy (Adam) Craig. Preceded in death by father, Herbert Deniston, mother, Opal Deniston, brother, Darl Deniston, sister, Darla Deniston . A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.

Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, Young America. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 also at the funeral home. You may sign Joyce’s guestbook online and leave condolences for the family at www.
