Obituary for Juanita Young Juanita Diane Hébert Young was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 23, 1934 to the late Amon Hébert and Mary Hawkins. For the last three years she resided in Austin, Texas, moving there after a decline in health. Juanita was one of Gods most dutiful servants; extending her service into the church, community, nursing practice, and fellowship of friends.

She loved her family and friends, and loved having them over for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. While living in New Orleans, she loved hosting the annual family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. This tradition continued, following her move to Austin, Texas, until her health began to decline.

God saw her burden was heavy; her hills were too hard to climb; He closed her weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace Be Mine”. On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, she transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home at age 83. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Loretta Diane Young of Austin, Texas; son, Michael Young of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Archie Hawkins (Annie) of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; granddaughters: Keante Danielle Marie Scott, Ashley Bourgeois Brooks, Ingrid (Rudy) Katy Young, and Ce’Ce Carter; grandsons: Charles Michael Young Scott, Byron Keith Scott, David Jason Scott, Matthew Berry, Rodney Anthony Barabino and Bralin Carter; and a host of great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Preceded in transitioning to our Heavenly Father’s, one son, Gralin Young; two sisters, Edith “Dede” Pate and Emma Elizabeth “Dixie” Hébert Dennis; three brothers, Henry “Sunnyboy” Hébert, Hillary Hébert, and Amon Hébert Jr.; sister-in-law, Elnora Hébert Thibodeaux. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Marine and Mount Moriah Community Church, 3034 Andover Street Jefferson, LA 70121at 10:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:00am.
