Judith’s Obituary Judith “Judy” C. Lawler, 75, of Stroudsburg, died peacefully Monday morning, March 4, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe Campus in Bartonsville. She was the wife of Marie D. (Voorhees) Gannon. Born on August 14, 1943 in Bryn Mawr, she was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Toplis) Flynn and lived in Monroe County since the 1970’s moving from Plymouth Meeting.

She was a pastoral counselor having worked for Recovery Revolution in Bangor and VNA Hospice of Monroe County until retiring in 2009. Judy volunteered and served on the board of directors for Monroe County Meals on Wheels. She was also involved in local community theater for many years; participating in Pocono Lively Arts shows and children’s summer theater camp, Black Sheep Productions and other local theater groups.

In addition to her wife, surviving are a daughter, Marjorie Lawler and companion Charles O’Keefe of Stroudsburg; a granddaughter, Eden Paige Lawler-O’Keefe of Stroudsburg; a brother, Jeff Corson and wife Carol of Blue Bell; several nieces and nephews; a brother in law, Robert Voorhees and wife Gail and their children of Kentucky; and pets, Bandit, Montana and Murphy. Services will be held on Saturday, March 16, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, with visitation beginning at 10:00AM followed by the memorial service at noon. In lieu of flowers, it was Judy’s wish that memorial remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society at www.
