Obituary for Judith Rose Newby Judith Rose Newby, 85, of Anderson, passed away on July 17, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on February 8, 1933 in Anderson, where she resided all of her life. Judith graduated from Anderson High School in 1951, and retired in 1999 from Anderson Community Schools as a secretary, after 44 years of service.

She was a member of The Retired Secretaries Association. Judith is survived by her children, Bradley F. (Melanie) Newby of New Jersey, Deborah K. Hall of Anderson; sisters, Kay F. (Clarence) Reynolds of Anderson, Peggy A. (Robert) Hart of Anderson; granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Hall; several nieces, nephews; and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth “Max” Maxine Waugh; father, Orville “Sport” Luray Waugh; sister, Penny Waugh; sons, Douglas W. Newby, and Michael D. Newby.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 20, 2018, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson. Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 20, 2018, at the funeral home, with Rev. Ann Noland officiating.
