Obituary for Leland Edward Moore Leland Edward Moore, 73, of Daleville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 30, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on August 28, 1944 in New Castle, and resided most of his life in Middletown. He served his country in the United States Army.

He and his wife owned and operated Moore’s Market in Middletown for 18 years. He was a member of Mounds Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and visiting with family.

Leland is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn “Tootie” Moore of Daleville; children, Bill (Kasey) Moore of Louisville, KY, Brian (Amy) Moore of Shirley, grandchildren, Cody Moore of Louisville, KY, Zachery Moore of Louisville, KY, Alex Moore of Shirley, Luke Moore of Shirley, Brandon Barnes of Shirley, Garrett Barnes of Shirley; siblings, Gene (Claudette) Moore of Pendleton, Irene Feller of Anderson, Lucy (Jack) Craig of Anderson, Charlotte (Larry) Faulds of Anderson; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Moore; father, Atley Moore; sisters, Novella Rogers, Pernia Shelton, Ruby Fair, and Myrtle Cress. Per Leland’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.

Private graveside services will be held at Miller Cemetery, Middletown at a later date, with his nephew, Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory has been entrusted with Leland’s arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association 6415 Castleway West Drive, Suite 114 Indianapolis, IN 46250, or The American Heart Association 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, IL 60675.
