Judy Danielson Snyder, 76, of Rockford, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018. She was born July 3, 1942, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Dorothy (Gilmour) Danielson. Judy was a graduate of East High School.

She married William (Bill) Snyder on October 19, 1974. Judy worked various positions at churches within the Rockford Diocese and later as the Deanery Director of Religious Education. Many people benefitted from Judy’s spiritual guidance.

She most recently served as the… Read More » president of the women’s guild at Holy Family Catholic Church. Judy enjoyed cooking, shopping, spending time with her family, and spending time at her cabin up north. She was a recent convert to the Green Bay Packers.

Family and her faith were very important to Judy. Judy will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Loving mother to Mark (Laura) Snyder, Mary (Tony) Stevens, Theresa (Fred) Beste, Elizabeth (Dale) Beyers, Margaret Snyder, Michael (Kathy) Snyder and Catherine Snyder; grandchildren, Luke and Liam Snyder, Adam (Nicole) Stevens and Lucas Stevens, Amanda and Lisa Snyder, Claire and Ava Beyers; great grandchildren, Jett, Violet and Leo Stevens, brother, Tom (Nicky) Danielson; sister Kathy Moore and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her parents and husband, Bill. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, OSF Hospice, Teresa Field, RN and Christina Tsai. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will continue at the church Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
