Mrs. Judith Ann “Judy” Doster Castro, died early Sunday, November 25, 2018, at her home in Ozark following a lengthy battle with lung cancer and most recently, Leukemia. She was 73. A memorial service for Mrs. Castro will be held 11:00 A. M. Thursday, November 29, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jerry Glover officiating, Holman Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home in Ozark from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Castro was born March 12, 1945 in Ozark, Alabama. She was an excellent seamstress, an avid reader, and a devoted grandmother.

Those who knew her well understood her outgoing personality, unquenchable spirit, and love of life. Mrs. Castro was preceded in death by her husband, Joey Castro; and her father, Jay Doster. She is survived by three children, Connie Duke of Dothan, Carol (Roy) Durham of Wetumpka, and Kevin (Becky) Castro of Newton; four grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Chloey Grider, Courtney (Shelby) Tyson, and Connor Castro; three great grandchildren, Emma, Rylee, and Hadley Tyson; her mother, Annie Laura Doster; two sisters, Sara Munn and Gayle (Jim) Little of Ozark; one brother, Larry (Janan) Doster of Newville; as well as a niece, Amanda Little Harris; two nephews, Brian Little and Jason Doster; a great-niece and nephew, Emerson Harris and Joshua Harris; several aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Griffin-Hope Lodge, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, Alabama 35205.
