Judy Kay Alley October 15, 1948 – March 05, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Judy Kay Alley, 70, died March 5, 2019, at her residence. She was born October 15, 1948, in Sedan, Kansas, to William ‘Bill’ and Inez (Brown) Collins. Judy graduated from Sedan High School.

She owned ‘Judy’s Dust Dolls’. Judy volunteered and supported Amvets of Hutchinson. She had many interests, including painting ceramics, working in her flower beds, and playing with her dogs.

In addition, she loved to play Bingo and was a huge dirt track racing fan. Judy was known around the Pretty Prairie community as a willing and loyal volunteer for Pretty Prairie Middle School and High School. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

On May 28, 1986, she married Wilber ‘Dean’ Alley in Wellston, Oklahoma. He died February 20, 2015. Judy is survived by: sons, David Wonser (Frances) of Hutchinson, Danny Wonser (Karen) of Burlington, Jess Stucky (Jessica), Dustin Alley (Hannah), all of Pretty Prairie; grandchildren, Jamie Wonser, Mark, Brad, Dylan, Whitney, and Devin Wonser, Haley Stucky, Wyatt Alley; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Glenda Halderman. Judy’s granddaughter, Charolette Lynne Alley, was also at the home with Grandma, and joined her grandmother in Heaven on the same day. Funeral service for Judy and her granddaughter, Charolette, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Pretty Prairie High School Gymnasium, 204 E. Main Street, Pretty Prairie, with Pastors Larry Ellsworth and Paul Wulff, and the Reverend Dennis L. Ureche officiating.

Private family burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Pretty Prairie. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Pretty Prairie High School Gymnasium.

Memorials may be made to the Alley Family Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Immediately following the funeral service, friends are invited to a benefit luncheon from 12 to 2 p.m., sponsored by the Pretty Prairie Community Women, at the Pretty Prairie Elementary School, 320 South Rhodes St., Pretty Prairie. Free-will donations will be accepted to help the Alley family with medical and funeral expenses.
