Judy Kaye Hunt, 78 Judy Kaye Newman Copas Hunt, 78 of West Portsmouth passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. She was born July 18, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Kenneth and Mildred Abshire Newman. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law; Phyllis Newman and a niece; Samantha Newman.

Judy was a graduate of Portsmouth West High School. She retired after 30 years from the Dayton Walther Corporation and was a Board Member of Desco Federal Credit Union for 34 years. She was also a very active volunteer in the Democratic Party.

She was a member of the SOMC Pleasure Guild and volunteered with many charities. She was a strong woman and tirelessly gave of herself to help others. Her loving soul will be greatly missed.

Judy is survived by her husband of 18 years, James Hunt, a daughter; Kimberly Copas and a son; David Copas, both of West Portsmouth , 3 stepsons; Bobby (Pris) Hunt of Portsmouth, Clyde “Ed” (Bev) Hunt of Morow, OH. , and Terry (Laurel) Hunt of Dayton, 3 granddaughters; Elizabeth (Brandon), Jennifer (Jay), Amanda, a grandson: Kenneth (Ashley), 12 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren, a brother; Ronald Newman of Portsmouth, a sister; Brenda Newman de la Mora of Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11AM Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with interment in Scioto Burial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www. rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
