Obituary for June Andrews Embury June Andrews Embury, 98, passed from this life peacefully on September 12, 2018 at the Southgate Healthcare Center in Carney’s Point, New Jersey. She was born on June 13, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Janon F. Embury, Sr. and survived by her children, Janon F. Embury, Jr., Susan Swiatocha (Charles) and Wanda Hofbauer (John).

She was also loved and survived by grandchildren, John, Donna and Jennifer and great-grandchildren, Hope and Lauren. Southgate staff provided expert care to her over the last years and became part of her extended family which also included her Southgate roommate, Dorothy Stubbins. June was very proud of her work to support the war effort from 1941-1945; taking her “Instant Art” as Granny Em to pre-schools and nursing homes throughout the tri-state area; and her work at the offices of Streitz and Streitz, Esqs.

in Pitman, NJ. She was also truly devoted to her love of God and her family. Services will be privately held at the National Cemetery in Baltimore.
