Obituary for Junior Letcher Meadows CHATHAM, Junior Letcher Meadows, age 77, of 5 Davis Rd Chatham, VA, entered into rest on April 16, 2018 at Centra Gretna Medical Center. He was born on June 22, 1940, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late John Henry Meadows and the late Madeline Mays Meadows. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Slough Meadows.
He was a faithful member of Samuel Harris Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Haymes Brothers Construction for over 40 years and was loved by everyone. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Henry Michael (Ruth) Meadows; two step-sons, Timothy Winn of Chatham and Anthony Kurtz of Lynchburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Meadows; sisters, Joan Meadows Woodson, Christine Meadows Kronkowski, and Shirley Meadows Jones; and a brother, Ronald W. Meadows. Funeral services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Cole and Rev.
Dr. Henry Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Wednesday April 18, 2018 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm and at other times will be at the residence, 5 Davis RD Chatham, VA.
