Obituary for K. Oommen Jose K. Oommen Jose was born to Pastor E.J. Oommen and Rachel Oommen on May 10, 1951 in the city of Othera, Chenganoor, Kerala. He was the second oldest of 10 children. He graduated from Thottakad High School in 1968.

He came to the United States in 1971 and attended Southwestern College in OKC. In 1975, he married Saramma Philipose (Kunjumol). They were blessed with two daughters, Benita and Baanah.

He loved the Lord fervently and was a supporter of many missions and ministries. He was a member of the first Malayalee Church of Oklahoma City founded in 1972, India Christian Assembly. He was an active member of Zion Christian Fellowship and former member of IPF Southwest and CFI.

Over 35 years, he owned many businesses and worked at Lucent Technologies and then retired in 2001. He enjoyed collecting antiques and finding hidden treasures. He also loved operating his business, Cherokee Flea Market.

He was a kind man who never met a stranger. He loved everyone he met and was known for his hospitality. He was a man of great wisdom and often was sought out by others for guidance in business and personal matters.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who always cared and provided for his family. He took pride in his family and his family was his joy. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, two daughters Benita, Baanah and husband Ponson, and four beautiful grandchildren, Joey, Faith, Abigail, and Gabriel.

He is also survived by six sisters and three brothers, Marykutty & Pastor Thomas Samuel OK, Gracy & George Varghese Dallas, Rev. Oommen Jacob & Jolly NY, Valsa & Dr. Billy Graham Paul FL, Mercy & John Skariah FL, Finny Oommen & Laila OK, Roy & Suja Beulah FL, Blossom & John George Houston and Glory Mathew FL. Appacha, you will never be forgotten for your love and kindness to all of us who loved you.
