Obituary for Karen Jo Thornton Thornton, Karen Jo, of High Ridge, Missouri, was born August 6, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to John and Thelma (nee Chastain) Parton and entered into rest Sunday, September 2, 2018 at her residence in High Ridge, Missouri at the age of 59 years and 27 days. She is preceded in death by her father John Parton, brother Jack Parton, and sister Norma Parton She is survived by, Three (3) Children, Steven (Susan) Thornton, Crystal D. Rucker, and Billy L. Compton Four (4) grandchildren Six (6) siblings, Shirley (Bill) Alexander, Sharon (Richard) Lewis, Diana (Jerry) Hager, Tommy (Paula) Parton, Jacqueline Messmer, and John “Paul” (Jessica) Parton, and One (1) sister in law, Patti Parton And many, many friends. Karen was a very giving person who enjoyed helping and taking care of others.
She had a strong devotion to God and was a member of The Church of Christ. In her spare time she enjoyed music and dancing to that music, swimming, and traveling. Most of all, Karen found the most joy from her children whom she loved more than life itself.
