Obituary for Renate K. Stern Renate K. Stern Stern, Renate Kuttner of Kirkwood, Missouri, was born March 10, 1915, in Frankfurt, Germany to Georg and Gertrude (nee Schocker) Kuttner and entered into rest Friday, October 19, 2018 at Manor Grove Nursing Home in Kirkwood, Missouri at the age of 103 years, 7 months, and 9 days. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter C. Stern married August 28, 1938 in St. Louis, Mo and her son Paul. And siblings Stephen Kuttner and Marianna Gronau She is survived by, Two (2) children, Ellen Stern and Andrew (Kennie) Stern Two (2) grandchildren, Mark (Mita) Stern and Alison (Philip) Crowson Two (2) great-grandchildren, Major Stern and Renate Jewel Crowson Renate was an active member of her church, First Presbyterian of Kirkwood.

She was also had been a member of the Presbyterian Synod and had been a very active volunteer in Reading is Fundamental. Renate loved collecting and judging orchids from around the world, gardening, reading, music and helping people and being around family. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery; a memorial service will be planned later.
