Karen Lynn Young, 69 of Nicholasville, KY passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital under the care of Blue Grass Care Navigators. She was born June 5, 1949 to the late Floyd and Edith Wilson Freeman in Hamilton, OH. Karen worked as a retail manager for Kmart, was a member of Bethel Christian Church in Nicholasville, she loved going to yard sales, Goodwill stores and working in her flower beds.

Karen is survived by her daughter Melissa Ann (Nick) Peel; sons Ronald Dee Young and Donald Lee (Tabatha) Young; sisters Linda Taylor and Sherry Jean Freeman; mother in law Ursula Young;sister in laws Ruth Ann Young and Kathy Young; grandchildren Ashley (Charley) Vickery, Colt (Sara) Peel, Jarrod Frietas, Rachel Waldroop Young, Shelby Young, Matthew (Katie) Young and Ricky (Dani) Gerkey; great grandchildren Emma Vickery, Delaney Vickery and Chloe Peel. Services will be held Monday, September 10, 2018 at Bethal Christian Church at 1 PM with visitation at the church from 11-1 PM.
