Karen L. Sommers, 70, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Karen was born on October 9, 1948, in Moline, the daughter of Kenneth L. and Ruth A. (Sparling) Sommers.

She had worked as a pricing analysist at Deere & Co. Karen was an avid reader and she enjoyed researching genealogy. Survivors include sister, Ann C. Lindahl, Portage, MI; brothers, Reed (Julie) Sommers, Port Byron, and Craig (Diane) Sommers, Moline; a niece and 6 nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
