Obituary of Karen Heid-Stegner Karen Heid-Stegner, 64, of Beaver Dams, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Born in Long Island, NY on June 18, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Edward Heid and Nora Finch. She graduated from Springfield Gardens High School, attended CUNY at Queensboro and SCT BOCES LPN program.

Karen was an LPN for Pediatric Homecare. Karen had a love for nature. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and photography.

Above all else, she loved spending time with family. She is survived by her son, Dennis J. Stegner and daughter-in-law, Stacey Parrish (the daughter she never had, but always wanted) of Watkins Glen; grandchildren, Norah Shea Stegner and Rowen Avery Stegner; a sister, Joyce Heid- Silivanch and brother-in-law, John Kevin Silivanch of Toms Rivers, NJ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends that she considers family. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 am at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls.

A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will be in Montour Cemetery.
