Kathleen “Kathy” Johnson, age 77, of Edgerton, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018, surrounded by her family and close friends. Kathy was born in Milwaukee and was a proud graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee. In 1959 Kathy moved to Edgerton and met Lester “Pepper” Johnson.

She also was a member of the Tuesday morning woman’s golf league at the Towne Country Club, Edgerton. Kathy was an avid sports fan and cheered the loudest for the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, Edgerton Tiders, Albion Tigers, Marquette, and Steve Stricker. Her greatest love was spending time with her friends and family and attending all of her Grandchildren’s sporting events, plays, and concerts.

Kathy is survived by her four sons: Brian (Kathy) of San Francisco, CA; Jay (Shelly) of Edgerton, Steve of Edgerton, and Tim (Andrea), all of Edgerton. Eight grandchildren: Will, Hunter, Buffy, Marty (Jennalee), Kyle, Brooks, Beckett, and Turner; and one great-grandchild, Harlan. She is further survived by two brothers, Bob (Georgia) of Cedarburg and Tom (Paula) of Whitefish Bay.

Two sister-in-laws, Maxine Price of Edgerton, Sally Johnson of Madison, and one brother-in-law, Jeff Johnson, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pepper, her parents, Al and Vivian Jung, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Johanna Johnson, and a niece Jackie Jung. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Edgerton at 11 a.m..

with Fr. Dave Timmerman officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton from 5 PM to 7 PM with a rosary at 7 PM.

Visitation will also be held on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the start of the services. The family would like to extend our gratitude to all of Kathy’s close friends for their support, attentiveness, and loving care over the last few months. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Kathy’s name to Edgerton Outreach.
