Kathleen “Kathy” Guala Hamman, 66, of Greensburg, died Monday, May 14, 2018 at home. She was born Aug. 15, 1951, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Alfonso and Helen Kozinko Guala.

Kathy was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a dental assistant for Dr. Clem Guarlotti. She loved to golf and was a member of the Girls Night Out Golf League. She also enjoyed watching her birds and all the other critters running around the backyard.

Her hobbies included gardening, visiting historic homes, the Civil War and decorating, as well as baking and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Guala, and her beloved dog, Blossom. She is survived by her husband, Charles L. “Chuck” Hamman III, with whom she would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on June 2nd; a son, Matthew Alan Hamman; a daughter, Jacquelyn Hamman, both of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Sandra Rosatti, Sally Messaros (Jim), all of Forbes Road, and Ginny Panigall, of Greensburg; her mother-in-law, Shirley Hamman, of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Kathy from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC. , 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating.

Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Celtic Hospice, Office of Fund Development Hospice and Palliative Care, 4818 Liberty Ave. , Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
