Obituary for Kathryn-Ann Nowicki KATHRYN-ANN NOWICKI Retired Administrative Assistant Kathryn-Ann Nowicki (nee Watkins) of Great Kills, Staten Island died on Thursday June 21, 2018. The funeral mass will be held Monday June 25, 2018 at 12:30PM at St. Clare’s Church, 110 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY. Friends may visit Sunday June 24, 2018 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM; 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at John Vincent Scalia Funeral Home, Eltingville, Staten Island.

Kathryn-Ann was born in Brooklyn and brought to Staten Island as an infant. She attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and Curtis High School where she was a class officer, g.o. officer, and cheerleader. She also attended the College of Staten Island.

In 1985, after raising her family, she returned to the workforce as a Civil Service employee with the NYC Board of Education, retiring in 2005 after twenty years of service. She was the Office Manager for the Staten Island Technical Support Center for ten years before transferring to the Committee on Special Education, Region VII where she was the Administrative Assistant to the Chairperson. She was predeceased by her husband Robert who died in 2002 after 43 years of marriage.

She was also predeceased by her parents, Richard and Katherine (nee Messina) Watkins who was a native Staten Islander and her sister, Theresa Pacifico. She is survived by her son, Robert Nowicki (Diane), daughter, Pamela Nowicki Milliken, son, Michael Nowicki (Leigh-Ann) and grandchildren, Merritt Nowicki, Henry Nowicki, Olivia Milliken, and Avery Nowicki. A member of the Net Set Investment Club, she was a former member and active participant of the St. Clare’s Mother’s Club, Monsignor Farrell Mother’s Club and Great Kills Swim Club.

She had fond memories of traveling to Italy, Ireland, Hawaii, Bermuda, several Carribean Islands, and U.S. states and playing tennis wiith her friends. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and dining out with friends and family. Her primary role in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
