Mrs. Herring was born April 20, 1932 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Delma and Lura Russell Whitten. She was a member of Hickory Street Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Jack Herring; and one brother, Carey Whitten. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Herring of Texarkana, AR and Kevin Herring of Richardson, TX; one sister, Evelyn Story; one grandson, Jon Herring of Texarkana, AR; one granddaughter, Amanda Nantze and husband, Philip Nantze of Texarkana, AR; and five great grandchildren, Matthew Herring, Corbin Osborne, Ashlend Nantze, Sawyer Nantze and Connor Nantze. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw, AR with Bro.

Ed Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thomas Street in Stamps, AR. Online registration is available at www.
