Ruth M. Haymon November 06, 1910 – December 04, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mrs. Ruth M. Haymon, of Duncanville, TX formerly of Stamps, AR passed away at her residence in Duncanville TX. She was born to the late Mr. Marion Evans and Mrs Ruth Cowans – Evans November 6, 1910 in Cotton Plant, AR. Mrs. Haymon was a retired Educator of 38 years working in both the Lafayette and Columbia County School Districts.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a lifelong friend to many and most importantly a devoted Christian woman. Mrs. Haymon was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Reuben Johnson, Sr of Memphis, TN and her second husband of 38 years Mr. Maceo Haymon of Arkansas, as well as both her parents one sister, and five brothers. She is survived by one sister, Ms. Lavern Wolford of Chicago, IL, her six sons, Mr. Reuben (Deborah) Johnson of Virginia, Mr. James Ronald Haymon of Texas, Elder Nathan (Mae) Haymon of Chicago, IL, Mr. Edwin (Mae Otis) Haymon of California, Mr. Maceo (Evelyn) Haymon, Jr of California and Elder Mack Haymon of Chicago.

Five daughters, Alice Faye Norful of Memphis, TN, Gwendolyn (Amando) Flores of Texas, Ruth Jackson Collins of Houston TX, Neoma Robinson of Arkansas and Marie O’Kain of St, Louis. She as well leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Saturday.

December 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with interment immediately following at the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home Staff 415 East First Street, Stamps, AR.
