Kenneth “Kenn” C. Geiger II, 73, of Rock Island, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, where visitation will be an hour prior to service time. Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Memorials may be made in care of the Alzheimer’s Association. Kenn was born on November 12, 1944 in Rockford, Ill. , a son of Kenneth C. and Betty J. Ridnour Geiger.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Theology from Andrew’s University, Berrien Springs, Mich. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Kenn married Peggy Hammer on September 4, 1999 in Rock Island.

He was self-employed as a wedding photographer for many years. He most recently owned the Best Institute of Hypnosis, retiring in 2014. Kenn was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Peggy Geiger, Rock Island; grandchildren, Andrew Skipper and Britney Garrett; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
