Kenneth Edwin Cromer, age 85, born, February 23, 1933, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 15, 2018 surrounded by his family. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joan (nee Likar); son, Wayne (Karen) Cromer; daughters, Carolyn (Donald) Wortmann, Darlene (Charles) Quinn, Georgene (James) Papesh; loving grandchildren, Bruce Lundborg, Nicole (Ben) Boresi and Jenna Papesh; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Boden Boresi; sister, Barbara Meurer; and brother, Philip (Denise) Cromer. Preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Barbara Cromer; brother, Donald Cromer; son, Gregory; granddaughter, Celisa Henning; great-granddaughters, Makayla and Addison Henning.

Ken retired from Material Services after over 30 years of service. He loved fishing, playing cards, nature and a good debate over politics. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Kenneth’s life will begin on Thursday, December 20, 2018 with a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. There will be no funeral home visitation or service. Per Kenneth’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
