Brendemuehl, age 80, of Two Rivers, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Ken was born on June 7, 1938, in Wausau, a son of the late Carl and Margaret (Kluender) Brendemuehl. Ken graduated from Wausau High School and then served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.

While stationed in Two Rivers, he met the love of his life, Kathleen “Kutz” Sousek, who he married on March 25, 1961, she preceded him in death on July 6, 2014. Ken coached and played all types of baseball. He also coached Junior Ramblers football.

Ken and Kutz loved to share their beautifully cared for home and yard with family and friends. Entertaining was a big part of their lives. Ken loved gardening, woodworking and many creative activities like cement sculpture.

Ken was always there for his children who are comforted now knowing that he is with mom and his Savior, Jesus. He is survived by his son: Kent (Teresa) Brendemuehl & their children: Josiah, Kathleen “Katie”, Jonathan (Alex), Daniel, and Rebecca Brendemuehl; his daughter: Toni Brendemuehl; and three sisters-in-law: Jeannette Brendemuehl, Marilyn Wilson and Lillian (Donald) Steinhauer. He is further survived by special friends: Lois and Carla; his granddogs: Rupert and Daisy; his beloved cat: Dove; and many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and his wife: Kutz, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Roland Brendemuehl and a sister: Shirley (Howard) Muelver. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2140 34th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev.

Keith Tullberg, with military honors being accorded by members of VFW Post # 1248 and American Legion Post # 165 of Two Rivers immediately following the service. .
