Kerri’s Obituary Kerri (Barksdale) Faltysek passed from this life at the age of 45, on January 18, 2019 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Kerri was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, on October 9, 1973, to David Nathaniel Barksdale and Donna Kaye (Blankenship) Barksdale. She spent the majority of her life in Rockport, Texas, but when her beloved Grandma Connie passed away she said she wanted to start a new chapter with her family and so they moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma.

There they attended service at Sharon Baptist Church. Kerri married the love of her life, Thomas Faltysek, in Rockport, Texas on September 25, 2009. Her Grandma Connie told him and anyone who would listen that he was an answer to many prayers.

Their relationship was very special and they were each other’s best friend. Their son, Aaron, completed their little family and together they shared many adventures and a love larger than life itself. As Kerri often expressed it, “I love you forever and a day!

” Kerri was a true animal lover with a heart for animals and all her pets were rescues. Kerri had a heart for other people as well. She always put others before herself and gave above and beyond.

She was on the Honors List when achieving both her Associate and Bachelor degrees. She was a wonderful cook and excelled at the many jobs she held over the years. She worked 14 years at Panjo’s Pizza in Rockport, Texas.

She also served as a Code Enforcement officer for the City of Rockport. At the time of her passing she was employed at the CPA firm of Finley & Cook in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Kerri’s hobbies were varied and many because to her life was a series of adventures.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing darts, and she loved purses because “they always fit”. But more than anything she loved spending time with her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, mom, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

As well as her Grandma Connie, and her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kerri knew family was life’s greatest gift. Left to cherish Kerri’s memory is her husband: Thomas Faltysek and her son: Aaron Faltysek, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; five daughters: Stephanie Tripp and her husband, of Abilene, Texas, Alisha Faltysek, of Victoria, Texas, Amber Jalufka and husband Michael, of Victoria, Texas, Amanda Faltysek of Houston, Texas, and April Faltysek of Victoria, Texas; her mother: Donna Barksdale, of Canyon Lake, Texas; one sister: Krista Valentine and husband Matthew, of Canyon Lake, Texas; one brother: David Barksdale Jr. and wife Jacqui of Rockport, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Kerri is preceded in death by her father: David Barksdale; her paternal grandparents: Virgil and Connie Barksdale; and her maternal grandparents: Millard and Virginia Blankenship. A celebration of life service to honor Kerri will be held Monday, January 21, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at the Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Chapel, 308 SW 3rd Street, Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
