Donald’s Obituary Donald “Don” Wayne Tannehill was born on May 7, 1935 to Olanthous Tannehill and Clarisa Ann (Smith) Tannehill in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He passed away on February 10, 2019 in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Don has been a resident of Lindsay for his whole life.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay. Don married Erna (Wood) Tannehill in Lindsay, Oklahoma, on November 6, 1971. They had forty-seven wonderful and love filled years together.

Don loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. His greatest joy in life was his family and the time that he got to spend with them.

He was a devout Christian and touched the lives of those around him. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Erna Tannehill of Lindsay, one daughter: Beverly Mitchusson of Bradley, one son: Joie Tannehill of Ninnekah, sister: Helen Badertscher of Chickasha, brother: Joey Tannehill of Chickasha, grandchildren: Allan Mitchusson, Chris Mitchusson, Dustin Richards, Nic Richards, Dallas Scavezze, Kyle Winters, Cody Johnson, Dessie Russell, Melinda Watson, Paula Cudd, Mark Miles, Kandra Lum, and Clarissa Lewis, and great grandchildren: Noah Mitchusson, Hunter Richards, Breanna Richards, Aubrey Lewis, Jacob Selzer, Brandon Selzer, Erica Myers, Alexis Shepard, and Logan Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents: Olanthous and Clarisa Tannehill, daughters: Janice Richards and Donna Tannehill, son-in-laws: Gaylon Mitchusson and Tye Richards, and brothers: Virgil, Gene, Tom, and Aaron Tannehill.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Don is set to begin at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma, with Randy Allen officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
