Obituary for Kimberly Kay Gates Gates, Mrs. Kimberly K. Portage, MI Passed away Wednesday May 30, 2018 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Kim was born April 26, 1970 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Rodney and Susan (Gleason) Boerman. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident.

On October 23, 1999, she was united in marriage to Steven M. Gates who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Spencer and Colby Gates both at home; her parents, Rodney and Susan Boerman of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters, Amy Boerman of Portage and Lori (Adam) Haley of Three Rivers; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in-laws. Services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, June 8th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday and 9:30-10:30 AM Friday at the chapel. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Portage Northern Band Boosters.
