Obituary for Kimberly Renee Whitten Kimberly Renee Torkkola Whitten, 49, entered into rest on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, January 2, 2018, at Starling-Evans Funeral Home, Harlem, Ga. Burial will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Ga.

Kim was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and was a longtime resident of Harlem. She had worked in Child Development Care and attended Harlem United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, James Whitten, Jr.; her father, Ernest Torkkola; one sister, Tara Rogers (Joe); and one brother, Dwight Torkkola.
