LaNelle White July 26, 1929 – October 15, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card LaNelle (Reid) White went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home in Borger. She was born July 26, 1929 in Clarendon, Texas to Lloyd and Ethel (Hinkle) Reid. She was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church and taught Primary and Adult Women Sunday School classes.

Mrs. White worked for Phillips ISD for as a secretary 22 years until her retirement. For over 25 years, she held the office of secretary for the Hutchinson County Retired Personnel Association. She also served faithfully as a volunteer at Living Waters for many years.

Preceding Mrs. White in death were her husband of 52 years, Jay, who passed in 2000, and a brother, Bill Reid. Her survivors include: a loving daughter, Aaronda Gerow of Borger; two grandchildren: Adam Gerow and wife Amy of Manchester, New Hampshire and Abby Elizondo and husband Abraham of Houston; three great grandchildren: Erika and Katie Elizondo, Matthew Gerow; and a son. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Fairlanes Baptist Church, Borger.

Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger. Mrs. White will lie in state at Brown’s Chapel of the Fountains on Wednesday from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, October 17 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Brown’s Chapel of the Fountains.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care of Mrs. White.
