Larry Dean Nance, age 59 of Kensett, went to rest Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 4:55 pm at Unity Health – White County Medical Center in Searcy. He was born April 1, 1959 to Dovie Ann Young. He was a life-long resident of Kensett, Arkansas.

During his early childhood he attended Centennial Baptist Church. He attended Kensett High School. He served in the United States Army and had a strong work ethic.

He worked with WalMart Distribution for more than 38 years until he developed health problems. He had a passion for music, especially the Motown Era. His strongest passion was for his family; his children and grand-children.

He is survived by one son, Warren Dean Nance of Sherwood; one daughter, Taija Nance of Jacksonville; three step-daughters, Akeira Baker of Jonesboro, Myra Stalling of Nashville, Kaysha Wilson of Nashville; one son-in-law, Jermaine Powell of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Londyn Oni Nance of Little Rock, Anthony Dorhan of Jacksonville, Jermaiya Powell of Jacksonville, Jermeria Powell of Jacksonville, Mikeilyn Howell of Jacksonville; one brother, Kenneth Turner and wife Susan of White Hall; one sister, Donna Roland of Jacksonville; girlfriend of 22 years, Kay Richardson of Kensett; and former wife, Alice Faye Nance of Sherwood. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dovie Ann Young; daughter, Alanna Powell; three grandchildren, Darius and Jarius Romes, Jabarei Nance; great-nephew, Kamani Buchanan; and grandparents, Roy and Irene Young.
