LARRY E. TIMKO Larry E. Timko, 80, long time resident of Overland Park, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death. Larry was born on the family farm in Hartford, Ohio to John and Susan Timko.

He was the youngest of eleven children. Early in his adult life, Larry worked as an airplane mechanic for Beechcraft in Denver, Colorado. He then moved to Overland Park and worked in the commercial fire suppression industry as a salesman for Edcor.

Larry later purchased a division of Edcor, called Delta Fire Systems. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a longtime member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Northeast Kansas. Larry was also an avid fan of golf, formula one racing, the aerospace industry, the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas University men’s basketball.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Beverly C. Timko and his son, Timothy Scott Timko. He is survived by his son Craig Chaplick, his daughter Melanie Chaplick Fletcher, his daughter Valorie Timko Quigley, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. A private family burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
